"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Nona- Ever so patiently waiting for breakfast at Bottletree Cafe. Her eyes dart around the room and stop at the revolving door of hungry patrons. A sweet potatoes biscuit for my sweet, sleepy-eyed lovely.

Dash- Taking a look at "George and the Noisy Ghost" before nap time. It only takes a few mins before he tells me, "mom, I really need to rest now" and walks, blanket in tow, to his room.

I just want to do everything and nothing today... but I feel I have a million things needing my attention. I'll be glad to get caught up!

Meow

My little "kitty cat" has been in need some ears for weeks now and so I finally got my sewing machine back up and running from the move. I really adore Dashiel's imaginative spirit and I do what can to encourage it. He lives in his black shirt and pants; "I am a little black kitty cat."

If any of your little kitties need ears and you want to sew your own I found this tutorial pretty easy to follow. Cheers! scattered thoughts of a crafty mom

Dash- Looking a bit older this week. Im loving this expression. What a handsome little guy!
Nona- This portrait was achieved by bribing her with marshmellows. Im so glad she flashed me this smile!

Have a great week everyone!

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Nona- A glimpse of naptime. She is such a light sleeper and Im lucky to get any shots of her like this at all.
Dash- Woke up happy as can be(which I love because usually he is cranky cranky). "Mom, can we play hide and seek now?"

"A Portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013"

Nona- A glimpse of Nona's famous pursed lips. She would sit contently like this for hours if I let her.

Dash- Jumping step to step, smiling all the way.

We found a neat new park in Homewood today. I was really interested in what the children would gravitate to. Dash went straight a giant red jungle gym. And Nona went straight to her swing. Thank goodness for a warmer day so we could get out today.
